ALLOW THE LOVE OF GOD FLOW THROUGH YOU TO OTHERS
God is Love, and whoever abides in love, abides in God, and God in him (1 John 4:16).
We must understand that the grace of God and His mercy flows from His love for mankind (1 John 4:9).
This love was expressed when he sent His only begotten son (Jesus) into the world as an eternal sacrifice for our sins (1 John 4:10).
In order for the Love of God to flow through us to others, we must acknowledge that He has given us His spirit to dwell within us (1 John 4:13).
It is important to understand that God loves us deeply and wants to operate through mankind on earth (John 3:16).
At the beginning of creation, the scripture reveals how God created the first man, Adam, and operated through him before he disobeyed God. God created all the animals, and He presented them to Adam to give them a name (Genesis 2:19). Whatever Adam called the animal, that was its name.
The scripture also reveals how God operated through Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the Old Testament.
Most importantly, God operated through Jesus by coming to the world as a man to deliver mankind (Colossian 1:13, John 14:9).
God also came as God the Holy Spirit to dwell in those that believe in Jesus, so that He can operate through us on earth (1 Corinthians 3:16). The scripture confirms that His Spirit is the first intalment of our faith (Ephisians 1:13-14).
God’s character & nature is Love and since He lives in our human spirit, we must reflect His nature by allowing His Love to flow through our spirit, soul and body to others (Romans 8:16, 1 John 4:16).
This is achieved by living in total submission to His Spirit that dwells within us because those that walk and live in the flesh cannot please God (Romans 8:8).
In other words, we can’t love others from our flesh because the Love of God flows from His spirit to our spirit to others.
To conclude, if we submit to the Holy Spirit and allow His Love to flow through us to others, the scripture reveals that His Love covers all multitudes of sin (1 Peter 4:8).
As a result, you will not covet your neighbour, you will not envy, you will not engage in jealousies, you will not engage in sexual immorality, you will not hate your neighbour, you will not engage in strife and other works of the flesh (Galatians 5: 19-21).
I hope you were blessed!
