Out of love Jesus laid down his life for us.
“Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.””

How can we express the love of Christ in our life?
A certain lawyer ask Jesus what must I do to inherit the kingdom of God.
“He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it? ” So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’
Luke 10:26-27
According to this scripture, we are commanded to love everyone regardless if we know them or not and seek the best for one another.
Peter let us know that love covers all sin
“Above all, have fervent and unfailing love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins [it overlooks unkindness and unselfishly seeks the best for others].”
1 Peter 4:8 AMP
How do we acquire genuine love?
When we are born again our redemptive right is the gift of the Holy Spirit.
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.””
Acts 1:8 NKJV
One of the fruits of the Holy Spirit is love. We can ask the Holy Spirit to help us walk and grow in love for others just as Christ loves us!
