Mind is central to the body. When one’s mind is being troubled the whole body is in chaos.
Mind is like an engine of a vehicle, when the engine stops the other parts of the vehicle stops working. If your car mirror breaks, the car can still function but if the engine stops working, then the car can no longer function.
*The same goes for the mind of a man.*
*How can we guard our minds?*
Knowing what we are thinking goes a long way.
_*2 Timothy 1:7 KJV- For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.*_
The moment we realise our thoughts are not of God, then let us remember how Paul uses the Word of God to channel his mind right.
*According to Ephesians 6*- Paul spoke about the armour of God:
1. The belt of truth- accepting Jesus as our lord and personal saviour.
2. The breastplate of righteousness- being righteous in all that we do (e.g. personal integrity).
3. The gospel of peace- seeking peace by forgiving those who have offended us.
4. The shield of faith- putting our faith and trust in the covenant of the blood of Jesus.
5. The helmet of salvation- guarding our minds and thoughts with the word of God.
6. The sword of the spirit – using the Word of God to combat the lies of the devil.
Brothers and sisters, let us remember that this is a long process. Our faith, preserverence and trusting God counts in taking control of our minds from the enemy.
