Romans 8
There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ (Christians) and walk according to the Spirit and not the flesh. However it is important to know that a Christian who walks according the flesh can be subjected to condemnation because the works of the flesh (outlined in Galatians 5:13-15) does not please God but pleases Satan.
The Spirit of God that abides in Jesus and now in us, has made us free from the power of sin and death, which the law could not accomplish through the flesh (works). Jesus came in the likeness of flesh and condemned sin by the Spirit of God.
When we live according to the flesh we set our minds on the things of the flesh (wordly things), which leads to spiritual death (separation from God). However when we live according to the Spirit, we set our minds on the things of the Spirit (Kingdom advancement), which leads to eternal life and peace.
If we walk in the flesh then we cannot please God and therefore function in the territory of Satan. If we walk according to the Spirit, we are dead to sin and alive in righteousness, which pleases God.
When we are led by the Spirit of God, we are spiritually adopted as sons of God, which the Spirit can bear witness to. As sons of God we are joint heirs with Christ and partake of the glorious inheritance.
Having the Spirit of God in us helps our weaknesses and guides us on how we ought to pray according the will of God. When we set our minds on the things of God and love him truly from our hearts, then all things work together for our good.
God’s love for us is undeserving and unconditional which he demonstrated to us, by giving his only son to redeem us from sin though we were still living in sin. Therefore, nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.
