God is love and whoever abides in love, abides in God and God in him (I John 4:16). The nature of God is love. One of the ways He demonstrated His love toward us, was sending Himself through His Son Jesus to reconcile the world to Himself (1 John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:19). In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise (Ephesinas 1:13). And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us (1 John 3:24). God has given us His spirit to dwell inside of us through our faith in the blood of Jesus (Ephesians 1:7).If we understand that God’s nature is love and God lives in us, then we will understand that we also have the nature of love, which is evident in Genesis 1:26 when God said “Let us make man in Our image according to Our likeness”. It is important to be aware of what hinders us from walking in God’s nature of love, one being our inability to yield and submit to the guidance of the Holy spirit (Gal 5:16). Another hindrance is when a believer yields to the desires of the flesh (Gal 5:16).When we acknowledge the presence of the Holy Spirit within us and submit to His guidance, then the eyes of our understanding will be enlightened as a result of our fellowship with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:18), and our behaviour and conduct will reflect His nature.
