Scripture confirms that man is a spirit that possess a soul and lives in a body (Genesis 1:27). Because of Gods love for mankind He sent His son Jesus as a sacrifice for manking to purge us from dead works. Through the sacrifice of the blood of Jesus our conscience (Heart & mind) has been circumcised. This is not circumscision made by human hands but by the spirit of God (Hebrew 10:16).
The main focus in this blog is to help us unveil the state of our mind.
The minute we are born again the scripture said that the spirit of a man is reunited back with the spirit of God (Ephisian 2:22). The journey of a christian life just begins at this point. Alot of new believers thought that the moment they are born again things will work out automayically in their lifes? This is a wrong notion, as a new believer you have got to make yourself available for the Holy Spirit to use and occupy. You can only do this by renewing of your mind with the word of God and grafting yourself into his words (Revelation 12:2).
When animal sacrifice were observed as rituals and sacrifice to God in Israel. The scripture told us that the blood of animal never cleanses the sin of man but cleanses human body. The animal sacrifice allow people to be conscious of sin by yearly atonement of their sin through the priest (Hebrew 9:13). What the animal sacrifice could not accomplish, Jesus Christ did through His blood (Hebrew 9:14).
We can confirm from the scripture that God is very interested in our mind (Joshua 1:8). He want us to renew our mind day and night with His words.
It is very important to note here that Satan too is very interested in your mind. He is keen to do all what it takes him for you to think about His devices. He wants you to think and engage in sexual imoralities, Adultery, abbortion, theft, lies, hate, competition, pride, and many more. He is aware that once you can be thinking and meditating on these things you are far from God (Galatians 5:16-21).
Brothers and sisters pause and think of what you are thinking on a daily basis? The answer you come up with will answer alot of questions in your life. This will also reveal to you why your prayer and fasting has not yield anyp result.
Satan want you as a believer to be traped in your thoughts. He doesnt care about you being a Pastor, outreach lead, prayer lead or choir lead as long as you are consciously or unconsciously yielding to him in your mind the job is done for him. In as much as you are still entertaining and being held bound in your thought with; lust, hate, envy, pride you are giving Satan an enrol to your life.
Alot of us believer are still held bound with satanic. I urge you brothers and sisters pause and think of what you are thinking. That will answer alot of questions why you have not seen the manifestaion of Gods word in your life.
