YOU ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST
For by one spirit we are all baptised into the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13).
In Acts 2:1, the disciples were all in one place in the upper room. This scripture describes a violent wind that came from heaven and rested on each of the disciples like a tongue of fire (Acts 2:2-3), and they were filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4).
As a result of their encounter, they went out to preach the Gospel and performed miracles in the name of Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit (Mark 16:20).
Similarly, we are all baptised by the Holy Spirit into The body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13). This baptism into the body of Christ is symbolic to everything Jesus did on earth (Galatians 2:20).
The members of the human body are all the parts God has created in a man (1 Corinthians 12:15-17). For example, the head, nose, ear are external parts and the kidney, liver, heart are the internal parts.
In the same way, every believer on earth that believe in the finished work of Christ, are the body of Christ and members individually (1 Corinthians 12:27; John 11:25). It is not limited to a group of people or a particular denomination because we have all been baptised into the body of Christ (Titus 2:11).
It is very essential to understand the importance of fellowship as the body of Christ, and be conscious that those that are in the flesh cannot please God (Romans 8:8).
When believers gather to worship God, it is the Holy Spirit that baptizes every individual into the body of Christ and not our human efforts (1 Corinthians 12:13). The Holy Spirit helps us to ascend and worship God in Spirit and in truth (John 4:23).
The Holy Spirit also gives inspiration to Pastors through their teachings & preaching of the Word of God. The Holy Spirit speaks through any yielded vessel to prophesy (1 Corinthians 12:10), and prepares the mind of those that will hear the Word of God.
We must be conscious of living in submission to God and yielding to the fruits of the Holy Spirit when we gather to fellowship with other believers. Any gathering where the fruits of the Holy Spirit is lacking, will hinder the move of God in that place.
It is equally important to have the consciousness of our victory in Christ (Revelation 12:11). Individually, Jesus lives in us and collectively we are the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27), and therefore we have the same victory Jesus had over Satan and His agents (Colossian 2:15).
We must always remember that Satan is under the feet of Jesus and because we are members of the body of Jesus, Satan his also under our feet through the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Romans 16:20).
I hope someone is blessed and encouraged?
