‘If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God’ (Col 3:1-3).
The scripture above acknowledges that when a believer receives Jesus at the point of giving their life to Christ, we have received the Spirit of God in our spirit man (1 Cor 3:16, 1 Cor 2:11).
Therefore, a believer’s conduct and behaviour should reflect the nature of God by constantly renewing their mind to align with the directives of the Holy Spirit (Gal 5:22‑24).
When our mind is renewed to align with the nature of God through His word by the help of the Holy Spirit, our mind will consciously and uniquely be set on the things above where Christ is (Col 3:1‑3).
