THE PATH TO THE CROSS CONTINUED.

It is God’s plan to bring everything in heaven and on earth together under the authority of Christ (Ephesians 1:10).

To be “in Christ” means that everything He is becomes ours. Our life, our finances, our health, our victory over evil, and—most importantly—our eternal life are all found in Him (Leviticus 17:11; 2 Corinthians 8:9; Isaiah 53:5; Revelation 12:11; John 3:16).

There is no salvation in any one else (Acts 4:12). Without the help of the Holy Spirit, trying to truly understand who Jesus is or trying to claim these blessings can feel like an impossible task.

The Holy Spirit is the only one who can reveal to us who Jesus really is, and His purpose is to bring glory to Jesus (John 16:14).

The Spirit opens our hearts to understand the full journey of Christ: from being the perfect example for us to follow, to His suffering, His death on the cross, His rising from the dead, His return to heaven, and finally, Him taking His seat at God’s right hand (1 Peter 2:21; Isaiah 53:4; Matthew 27:35; Matthew 28:6; Luke 24:51; Ephesians 1:3).

All these moments represent our own journey both here on earth and in heaven. When we truly understand this and live it out, we will see God’s many blessings showing up in every part of our lives (Galatians 3:14).
