For by His word all that we can see around us on earth today was formed (Genesis 1:1–3).
Man was created in His image; therefore, man’s identity is in Him through Christ (Genesis 1:26; 2 Corinthians 5:19).
In His teaching, Jesus likened the word of God to food for living: “Meanwhile His disciples urged Him, ‘Rabbi, eat something.’ But He said to them, ‘I have food to eat that you know nothing about’” (John 4:31–32).
Also, James said: “Be doers and not hearers only” (James 1:22).
We must live out His words by the help of His Spirit: our conduct, behaviour and words must be aligned to His words (James 1:22; Colossians 4:6).
Therefore, as we are identified in Him through the power of His creation and the precious blood of Jesus, it would be an identity disorder if we live otherwise (Genesis 1:26; Galatians 2:20).
