Love is a nature of God that we receive as a result of our fellowship with the Holy Spirit (Fruit of the Holy Spirit) (Galatians 2:20).
Love is not mental knowledge but comes by the demonstration of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:4).
The love from the Spirit of God can only be expressed in a believer when a believer has revelation of the love of God that is found in the cross of Christ (John 3:16).
Upon our understanding that God loved us first—that He sent His Son for all flesh—understanding His love towards man and knowing that He lives in us will allow us to submit to His Spirit within us to demonstrate His love to Himself and to others (Matthew 22:37).
