The scripture says ‘that if you hear God’s word but do not act on it, you are like someone who looks in a mirror, walks away, and instantly forgets what they look like’ (James 1:22-23)
Speaking or confessing God’s word — shows you agree with Him (Romans 10:8–10). But it is only half the obedience. You must also live the word of God out. Your actions (behaviour/conduct) must match what God says (James 1:22; Deuteronomy 28:1).
The enemy understand the principle of being a doer as He builds strongholds in people’s minds to stop them acting on God’s word. These wrong thoughts make people and compel them to do what is against the word of God (2 Corinthians 10:4–5).
To be a true doer, you must train your senses by the help of the Holy spirit over time to know right from wrong, and trust in Jesus as your strength (Hebrews 5:14; Psalm 27:1). When you both hear and obey God’s word, you will experience His blessings in your daily life (James 1:25; Galatians 3:14).
